Mesa Verde National Park Updates

Road work is expected to be active throughout the rest of the summer with the Cliff Palace Loop Road closed.  The Mesa Top Loop Road will remain open, however, until road work is completed on the Cliff Palace Loop.  There is still much to see and do with Long House Tours ongoing to October 23^rd, as are ranger-led evening programs at Morefield Campground Amphitheatre.  These programs are held at 8:30 pm through August 15^th and at 8:15 pm from August 20-September 5. 

If you would like a virtual, ranger-led tour of Mesa Top Loop, remember to download the audio tour narrated by Ranger TJ Atsye from Laguna Pueblo.  She presents a unique perspective as a descendant of the ancient Puebloans who once lived at Mesa Verde!

And don’t forget to reserve tickets for an in-person ranger tour of Long House on Wetherill Mesa.  Tour tickets can be purchased on recreation.gov, 14 days in advance starting at 8 am, MDT.  Demand for tickets is high, so be prepared to try for them by exactly 8 am 14 days before your intended visit!
