Starry Nights and Western Trains!

Do you often watch the night sky in hopes of seeing a falling star?  How do you make the night skies at Starry Nights Ranch even more spectacular?  Meteor showers, of course!  Here are some upcoming events that will be easily observable from our mesa top at Starry Nights Ranch:

Southern Delta Aquariids, peaking on July 28-29, while the moon is 66% full.

Alpha Capricornids, peaking July 28-29, while the moon is 66% full.

Perseids, peaking August 11-12, while the moon is 47% full.

Orionids, peaking October 20-21, while the moon is 23% full.

The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad has re-opened!  Modified services began on June 23^rd and will continue on its current schedule until August 15^th.  Due to Covid restrictions, it will operate on a limited capacity with both the steam and diesel trains running from Rockwood Depot to Cascade Canyon round trip Tuesday through Saturday.  You can find more detailed information by going to their website Durangotrain.com or by calling 970-247-2733.
